Project 52 – Week 27

By Mummy B.

A picture of my child each week, that’s the project 52 which I decided to follow this year.

This week we celebrated one of the most important holidays in USa. indeed the 4th of July is the Independance Day!

It was a Saturday, so we could have been quite disappointed that Daddy B. couldn’t have a day off during the week… but in United States when a holiday is a Saturday or a Sunday, your day off is a Friday or a Monday! What a good idea compared to France!

So we had a 3 days week-end! it was perfect to plan a short road trip (less tiring than our previous road trip in Central Nevada in April… being 29 weeks pregnant, I preferred to be a bit reasonnable). So we headed to Shasta Cascade Region and loved it. I will write about it soon.

On Saturday; after a morning in Lassen Volcanic National Park, a picnic in Britton Lake and a walk along the waterfalls of the MacCloud River, we eventually arrived at Mount Shasta Resort. This 3-stars hotel opens every year its golf green surrounded by the mountains for a great 4th of July night. We enjoyed a nice american event which ended with a wonderful fireworks.

Mimi, who never missed an “american flag”, was delight to see so many star-spangled banners that night. She was dressed like a real american girl and had a blast running up and down the little hills and eating her hotdog. Mimi courant dans les collines du golf
